What Is Intravenous Therapy?
IV therapy involves administering vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the bloodstream which ensures 100% absorption. As the micronutrient content in our food decreases, our toxin exposure increases, and our gene expressions change, IV therapy can be a helpful method to provide an increased amount of nutrients than could be digested by the gut at any given time.
All IV cocktails are individually prescribed by Dr. Lia and are custom-tailored to your individual needs. The nutrients which can be included in your treatment are vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and some herbs such as Mistletoe (often used in cancer treatments).
What Are Vitamin Injections?
Vitamin injections are quick injections administered in office by the Be Well Team. Dr. Lia or Dr. Maggie may recommend Vitamin injections as a quick and affordable way to boost levels in the body when necessary after an initial assessment and work-up Vitamin injections are often prescribed after reviewing a patient’s lab tests or genetic test results if they have very low levels or high demands for a specific nutrient.
The most common Injections we administer at Be Well Collingwood are:
- Vitamin B12
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B6
All injections will only be prescribed after an assessment has been conducted and relevant testing has been reviewed by one of our Naturopathic Doctors. To book your appointment click here.
